Energyprima Limited (EPL), a sister concern of Hosaf Group, was established in 2008 with the aim of providing electricity to its consumers and to mitigate the acute power crisis in the country. It has licenses for four power plants, one each at Kumargaon (Sylhet), Shahjibazar (Hobigonj) Fenchuganj (Sylhet) and Bogra, having a production capacity of 170 MW in total.

=> Kumargaon 50 MW Power Plant
The 50 MW power plant at Kumargaon, Sylhet came into commercial
operation from July 2008 and has been supplying 50 MW electricity to the
national grid. The plant has 29 nos. of gas engines in current
operation.
=> Shahjibazar 50 MW Power Plant
The 50 MW power plant at Shahjibazar, Hobigonj has been operating since
November 2008 with 29 nos. of gas engines. It has also been generating
50 MW electricity to the national grid.
=> Bogra 20 MW Power Plant
The 20 MW power plant at Bogra completed commercial operation in November 2011.
=> Fenchuganj 50 MW Power Plant
The 50 MW power plant at Fenchuganj, Sylhet, at present, is generating
about 40 MW. It is expected to go for commercial operation from early
2012.
