of enlightened business persons and professionals. Eminent Banker and
Columnist Late Syed Ali Kabir, one of the pioneers in banking sector in
Bangladesh and the first Deputy Governor–1 of Bangladesh Bank (the
Central Bank of the Country), was the founder Chairman of BMSL
Investment Limited. Mr. Md. Alimullah Khan one of the senior investment
Banker of the country, was the first Managing Director of the BMSL.After the death of Syed Ali Kabir, Prof. (Dr). Matiur Rahman, an internationally renowned Cardiac Physician and Honorable Member of Parliament of the government of Bangladesh, took over the chairmanship of the Company.
BMSL Investment Limited is a full fledged Merchant Bank. It is engaged in Issue Management, Underwriting, and Portfolio Management for individual and institutional investors, Pre-IPO Placement, Corporate Advisory Services in the fields of acquisition and merger, corporate fund raising, etc.
BMSL Investment Limited has a competent Board of Directors (List of Directors is attached). Most of the members are well-known personalities in the capital market.

The Advisor (former Managing Director of the Company) Mr. M.A. Rashid Khan is a stalwart in the capital market of Bangladesh. He worked as Executive Director in SEC. After retiring from Govt. service he joined BMSL Investment Limited.

Since its establishment, BMSL Investment Limited has significantly contributed to the development of the Capital market of Bangladesh. BMSL has successfully floated IPO / Rights Share issue of 11 (eleven) companies as Issue Manager (list enclosed). Moreover, BMSL Investment Limited has entered into contact with some more Companies of good reputation to act as Manager to the Issue.
